It is that time of year again when the Ladies of the Ridge are making plans for all of our wonderful neighborhood events. You can check out neighborhood website for details on the event dates/times. (www.ridgepointe.us)
The planning and execution of these events hopefully seems flawless to all those in attendance, but could not happen without the help of many volunteers! We are looking for folks who are willing to help with any portion of any event or take on an event to chair start to finish. The larger the event, the more help will be needed. We need folks to do anything and everything - from buying supplies beforehand, hosting a meeting at their house to stuff Easter eggs, lining up vendors/services for the larger events, soliciting donations for our events, set-up, coordination during an event, and clean-up.
We have files on each event to help with the planning and are more than willing to share our knowledge of how events have been done in the past with willing volunteers! A slate of events for a neighborhood our size can not be pulled off with 2 or 3 volunteers. Warm blooded, helpful hands and minds are what we need!
Events for the year include: Easter Egg Hunt, Garage Sales (2), Mayfest, Fishing Derby, Fourth of July Parade (with Fire Truck), Dive-In, Pamper by the Pool, Oktoberween, Holiday Bows, Luminaria. Details and fliers for many of these events are on the website http://ridgepointe.us/aspx/calendar.aspx
Please contact Maria Twiehaus with how you can help accomplish these events! Different families have different interests, so pick one that appeals to your family and have fun with it! We are always open to new ideas and suggestions to make our events bigger and better than the last year!
Thank you for your help and support to continue to make Ridge Pointe known throughout South Tulsa as one of the most active and desireable neighborhoods to live in!
Sincerely,
Maria Twiehaus

Who are the Ladies of the Ridge?
Ladies of the Ridge is the social organization within our neighborhood consisting of those women who would like to volunteer their ideas and time so Ridge Pointe continues to be one of the most popular and desirable neighborhoods in south Tulsa.
We strive to keep Ridge Pointe a fun place to live by providing social events where we can get to know our neighbors and enjoy the company of those we already know.
To attend a Ladies of the Ridge meeting watch for notices in the marquees at the entrances and pool alternatively please contact us for more information.
Meetings are generally held 3 or 4 times a year, and provide a great opportunity for a girls’ night with our neighbors while planning events to benefit our neighborhood. Please join us!
Easter Egg Hunt: Easter eggs filled with candy are hidden and hunted down at the playground by the pool. Children are divided into groups according to age.
Spring Garage Sale: One of two annual neighborhood garage sales. The two annual garage sales are held to discourage other sales throughout the year and help reduce the amount of outside traffic in our neighborhood. All of the publicity is done for you, and it brings in lots of customers.
Mayfest: Official pool opening party! Held on the last day of school, the party includes entertainment, food and lots of fun for kids and adults alike!
Fishing Derby: Held in June, this event is a chance for families to fish together at the pond, and trophies or prizes are awarded in a few categories such as largest catch and most fish caught.
Fourth of July Parade: Held on or around the 4th of July. Neighborhood children are invited to decorate their bikes, motorized vehicles, scooters, etc. and join in a short parade ~ along with their parent(s), spectators, and usually a Tulsa fire truck too! The parade finishes with the pool opening early for the holiday. Leading up to the holiday, a small flag is also placed next to each neighbor’s mailbox to show our patriotism.
Fall Garage Sale: Second annual garage sale.
Oktoberfest: Fall festival celebrated in the pool cu-du-sac which includes food, music, various activities for the kids such as pumpkin painting and Jupiter jumps, and a chance for everyone to enjoy the company of their neighbors.
December holiday decorations: Red bows are displayed on all mailboxes to make the neighborhood more festive for the holiday season, and the pool house and main entrance are decorated with lights.
